- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪DO NOT TAKE CHILDREN HERE! Took my young son in with an obviously broken arm (arm was clearly bent in a not natural way). Aida at the check-in insisted he could not have a broken arm since he was not crying and made us wait 30 minutes to see the doctor (she said that if he was screaming they would have interrupted the doctor and he would have been seen immediately). Using crying as a way to triage people - especially children, seems like a bad practice. After we had been there 1 1/2 hours, and after an x-ray proved he had broken both bones in his forearm, they finally offered him pain medication. They sent us out to a pediatric orthopedist with his arm only in a sling; they didn't splint it or anything. The orthopedist was horrified. The good - they were very nice people and they did send us where we needed to be eventually. The pediatric orthopedist at OrthoVirginia did a great job with his arm. But they advised us never to go to Urgent Care with a child and we will for sure never use this Urgent Care again!April 08, 2017by Scott Adamson
